| The Island Bluegrass Alliance was formed in 2002 by two businesses on Chincoteague Island, Virginia,with the purpose of bringing quality Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel intertainment to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We do this by holding concerts throughout the year at The Chincoteague Center. |
| Our first event was held at The Center in August of 2002. Performing were "The Travelers", a great bluegrass gospel band from Maryland. The MC was Tucker Bowden, a great DJ on WBEY Radio, and long time lover and player of Country and Bluegrass. The opening was done by "The Meno'lites, a fantastic gospel quartet from Westover Md. The show was such a success that all will be returning in August 2003. |
